Tableau vs. Salesforce: Started the Acquisition in 2019

Salesforce, a leader in CRM, and Tableau, a leader in data visualization, joined forces in 2019. The acquisition aimed to enhance Salesforce’s analytics capabilities and provide customers with deeper data insights. Through Tableau’s integration with Salesforce’s Customer 360 platform, businesses could now access data across their entire enterprise. This merger enabled companies to make smarter decisions, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation through comprehensive data analysis.

The Tableau certification names will change according to the following timeline:

• June 30, 2025: Tableau exam registrations will close. No new registrations will be accepted after this date.
• July 6, 2025: Final day to complete Tableau exams through Pearson VUE. No rescheduling or exam completion will be possible after this date.
• July 21, 2025: New certification experience and registration launches in Trailhead Academy.
